Part of the Mako Series, the Walrus Audio D1 V2 High-Fidelity Stereo Delay is the ultimate in powerful and multi-functional delay, stacking up five studio-grade flavours: digital, vintage, dual, reverse, and modulation. Besides the crystal-clarity of a high-accuracy bread-and-butter digital delay, this stompbox treats guitarists to vintage warmth; the unique option to line up two delays in parallel, each with a different setting; and a modulation program that unleashes two random LFOs able carve out some truly unique and extreme effects. Since it’s the next-gen, the V2 also boasts a number of sound-quality improvements over the V1, while the bit-crusher has been replaced with an overdrive, and a stereo width control has been added for panning the effect or harnessing a Haas stereo effect.

Fitted with all the right ports in all the right places, this Walrus Audio offering can be set up in mono or stereo, in and out, and in all conceivable configurations. It also offers full MIDI support for presets, parameter and delay-time control – so via MIDI, users are able to create, save, and call up no less than 128 custom presets. Even without MIDI, you’re provided with nine internal preset slots. To finish, a tap-tempo footswitch and an improved USB port for firmware updates has been fitted, completing a comprehensive and highly creative echo box.
