The new X-A220EVO monophonic power amplifier delivers a power of 220W. It is ideally
combined with the X-P500 preamplifier to form a highly musical hi-fi system. Advance Paris technical
mastery combined with the most audiophile possible design of their circuits allow them to achieve high level performance at a competitive price.
Construction: The steel frames have an impeccable finish. The addition of methacrylate facades enhances their successful aesthetics, while by providing a significant ergonomic dimension, thanks to an imposing view-meter. The internal layout is rational and
compartmentalized. This judicious arrangement of the different sub-assemblies is accompanied a choice of quality components, welded on separate PCBs and partitioned by function. The X-A220EVO owes its thickness to the height power transistor heat sink
with generous dimensions.
The X-A220EVO has a 700 VA toroidal transformer. After rectification, four capacitors of 10,000 µF / 80 V smooth the direct current. An NE5532 operational amplifier is shown on theinput board with balanced and unbalanced switch. The power stages call for to a triple push-pull of complementary transistors, delivering up to 220 W / 8 ohms in class AB. The amplifier can operate in two modes accessible via a switch: when the function ”High Bias” is engaged, the X-A220EVO operates in class A on the first watts then automatically slides into class AB
