Upgraded, freshly painted and fully future-proofed, this is the next-gen Fender Player Plus Jazz Bass. The alder body has been finished with a high-gloss sheen and as soon as you grip the neck, your fret-hand is greeted to the fast and smooth feel of satin-gloss lacquer. While the traditional J-bass neck is renowned for its playing comfort, this edition has been given a modern C-profile coupled with a slightly flatter 12 inch fretboard radius to further ease the playability.

Play this bass for five minutes or less, and you’re already well-aware that this is every bit a progressive Fender instrument. The trusted open-gear machine heads have been left in place but have been teamed up with the improved stability of a Hi-Mass bridge, while the mounted pair of Noiseless Player Plus J-style single-coil pickups carve out iconic Jazz Bass sound and have been perfectly balanced to ensure clear definition and presence. Using nothing more the pan-pot, you can scroll through the full spectrum of that familiar J-style passive tone.
Unprecedented Active Circuit
Nestled between two of the fitted control pots you’ll find a mini-switch that can be flipped to trigger the active circuit and double the sonic palette of this J-bass. In active mode, the tone-tweaking power is immediately expanded from one pot to three pots (a dedicated bass pot and a concentric mid and treble pot) for three-band frequency adjustments and more in-depth sound shaping. And this is way more than just a perk, since it gifts the next-gen Fender Player Plus Jazz Bass with a truly flexible and far-reaching range. To keep it in mint condition, it also comes complete with a matching deluxe gig bag.
