In the form of the DUAL-PHASE, Behringer present a successful attempt at the recreation of a popular phaser from the ’70s that actually works in combination with both stringed instruments and keyboards. Twelve Opto-couplers knuckle down to deliver a profoundly intense yet natural-sounding effect, which can be modified via two sweep generators that both come with their own rate and shape controls. In addition, the DUAL-PHASE sets you up with a CV input so you can optionally control the phase shifter with ease via an external source so, whether you’re looking for ambient, Pink Floyd-esque soundscapes or extreme ring-modulator effects, all options are on the table here.
