Allmänt
The unsung hero of ’90s underground, the Fender Mustang PJ Bass gets a very special, very limited run, featuring a C-profile neck with a comfy thirty-inch scale length, a 9.5-inch fretboard radius, and the brilliantly supple feel of a satin-gloss finish. Since the neck is slightly shorter than average, the distance between frets is narrowed, and the string tension is reduced, giving this model it’s famously snug feel in the hands of shorter-limbed bassists. It’s also a fairly slim and manageable instrument which, if you’re playing every day, will literally save your back.
The Fender Mustang PJ Bass: Flexible & Familiar
This Fender bass has been given a pau ferro fretboard, which is a little darker than rosewood and provides a lightly sharper tone, while the ash body and maple neck shape a powerful acoustic foundation which, teamed up with the PJ pickup configuration, results in just the level of flexibility you want. The mid-mounted Precision pickup and bridge-mounted Jazz Bass pickup can be blended and isolated as needed using the 3-way switch, and using the provided tone and volume controls, the sound of the Mustang PJ Bass can be tweaked with Fender-grade ease.
