Throwing things back to the early eighties, Fender take some coveted ’Japanese Vintage’ reissues and beef them up with some future-proofing mods. This is the Fender JV Modified ’60s Stratocaster, and just like the original JV, it comes with the balanced and resonant tonal foundation of a basswood body decked out with the outstanding dynamic response and Fender-grade sound of three Vintage-Style Single-Coil Strat® pickups coupled with the extra-versatility of an S-1 switch mod toggled via a cheeky push/pull tone pot. This versatile sonic monster comes with a Fender deluxe gig bag.
The Fender JV Modified ’60s Stratocaster: Modern Playability
Planting this eighties-style model firmly in the present, Fender has given the JV Modified ’60 Strat a maple neck finished with a Soft-V profile and coated in a buttery smooth satin-gloss. The maple fretboard retains the familiar comfort of a 9.5 inch radius and the smooth playability of 21 medium-jumbo frets, while a set of Vintage-Style locking machine heads speed up string changes and firm up tuning while adding a fully up-to-date finishing touch.
