With this PM-1 Standard Dreadnought NE All Mahogany, Fender offers a steel-string with an all-solid construction. As the name implies, the top, sides, and back are all indeed made of mahogany. For this Dreadnought, Fender opted for an open-pore finish that really accentuates the natural grain of the wood and contributes to the excellent response while playing. Essentially, this left-handed Fender offers a foundation warm sound that suits any style of music.
The PM-1 Standard Dreadnought: Ergonomic Playability
Like most acoustic steel-string guitars by Fender, this Paramount also has a mahogany C-profile neck and an ovangkol fretboard which contrasts nicely with the finish of the body. Once you start playing it, you’ll notice that this guitar packs great resonance, stemming from the authentic bone string nut and compensated bridge saddle. With a scale length of 25.3 inches and a flat fretboard radius of just 15.75 inches, the PM-1 offers modern playability, but it also features various luxurious details like the 3-ply binding along the neck.
The Fender Paramount: Take the Stage
The name, ’Paramount’, bears the weight of a rich history including the famed Seattle theatre, and equally famous American record label. To honour its associative lineage, Fender have not only gifted this guitar with an all-solid construction and rich acoustic sound, but fitted a sensitively discreet preamp complete with tuner and display that actually serves to the compliment the body. This premium model comes complete with a life-preserving humidifier and deluxe case.
