Bearing a similar, meditative sound to a hand pan, the Meinl Sonic Energy Octave Steel Tongue Drum is made from high-quality stainless steel, finished with decorative and protective woven cord edging and a centred floral engraving. This nine-note tongue drum has one bass note surrounded by a ring of eight notes, where each note is split so the instrument can be played across a two octave range using the included rubber-headed wooden beaters. This model also features a sound hole, which not only increases the volume, but can be closed for a more muted sound during quieter sessions. Bundled up with a form-fitting backpack made of heavy-duty nylon, the Meinl Sonic Energy Octave Steel Tongue Drum can literally be taken anywhere, and in maximum comfort.
