This brain-breaking, extended-range ESP Deluxe Series 7-string baritone stomps like no other. Definitely not for faint of heart, this super-serious instrument of tone comes dipped in a breathtaking See Thru Black Sunburst paint-job, showing off the complex woodgrain of the flamed maple top and rendering every example entirely unique. The burst effect is offset by white binding which extends around the body, along the neck, and around the sharp 7-in-line reversed headstock, picking out the upper horn which has been cunningly extended to ensure optimal balance. Lightly resembling the Benji Baret (Ne Obliviscaris) Custom Shop model, this mega-model has been built for the contemporary metal head.
The Deluxe H3-1007 Baritone: Extended Scale Length & Tight feel
To keep the tension of the low B and E strings feeling nice and tight, while opening up lower tuning options, ESP LTD have equipped the Deluxe H3-1007 with an extra-long 27 inch scale length. This setup has been combined with a TonePros Locking TOM bridge, a string-through-body tailpiece and a set of LTD locking tuners to build the ultimate in tuning stability. The three-piece maple neck has been set-thru, reinforcing the stability and enhancing resonance while granting slick access to the highest of the twenty-four extra-jumbo, stainless steel frets. Meanwhile, agile bends and rapid leads are fully supported by the compound radius of the Macassar ebony fretboard, which flattens out closer to the body for an even and fully controlled playing feel.
Multi-Faceted Tone
The core of this guitar is formed by a renowned Seymour Duncan combo, with a Pegasus humbucker sitting at the bridge and a Sentiant humbucker planted at the neck: a pair of passive double-coils that come fully primed for complex sonic-painting across every genre, sub-genre, and sub-sub-genre of harder rock and metal known to mankind. The electronics section has been neatly stripped back to a single volume pot and single tone pot that doubles as a push/pull coil-split to double the fun and insert ominous cleans in between thick and juicy, brutal rhythms. And since it’s all finished with polished ESP-grade finesse, a model with this kind of pedigree is definitely built for life, not just for Christmas.
