This is the Original Collection Focus VT-211S: a stunning entry-level electric guitar that’s not only great for beginners because of its price, but because of its comfy playability and far-reaching sound. This axe has a solid mahogany body loaded with three passive Alnico-5 pickups, giving fresh-faced guitarists full access to powerful tone that can be shaped to fit any genre, including pop, indie, rock, and even the harder stuff.
The Focus VT-211S: A Solid Starting Point
It’s immediately clear that Kramer Guitars have made sure to set up beginners with a thoughtfully designed model. So, the maple neck of the Focus VT-211S has a slim profile that sits comfortably in the fret hand, while the matching maple fretboard has been given a 12 inch radius, which is a touch flatter than most standard starter-guitars, and makes grabbing and holding notes a little bit easier. The medium jumbo size of the 21 frets also helps with playability, while a mounted tremolo bridge supports whammy-bar tricks and polishes off a more-than solid starting point of an instrument.
