A fitting tribute to the Mastertone Banjos of thirties vintage, the Elite Flying Eagle is essentially the summit of every bit of Recording King’s banjo-building knowledge. In terms of build quality and materials, everything has been thrown back through time, from the mahogany resonator and brass Mastertone-style brass tone ring to the bound ebony fretboard and mother-of-pearl inlaid position markers. In fact, the three-ply maple rim has even been steam-shaped – meeting traditional build techniques that are over a hundred years old.

Every inch of the Elite Flying Eagle bears quality components, including a set of genuine Gotoh machine heads and costly, tone-rich woods like ebony, mahogany and maple as well as brass. This banjo has also been crafted by the best luthiers at Recording King and features many 100% handmade elements. The result is extra-powerful, irresistible sound and the slightly extended range and comfy playability of a 27 inch scale length. This five-string model comes complete with an armrest and a deluxe case.
