In the tight and timeless shape of the Electra VS, Sandberg treats bassists on a more limited budget to a high-grade, German built masterpiece of a model mounted with a P-style split-coil and kitted out with active two-band EQ controls. Wrap your arms around this four-string stomper and immediately raise your game thanks to the snug C-profile of the Canadian maple neck and the modern contouring of the solid yet lightweight basswood body.
The Sandberg Electra VS: Maximum Impact, Minimum Fuss
Alongside playing comfort, the basswood body also ensures a full sonic foundation framed by clearly emphasised mids, while the maple neck adds a touch of bite and the set-in rosewood fretboard rounds everything off with tonal warmth. All of this is expertly translated by an exclusive, in-house designed split-coil pickup that’s been precision-mounted to guarantee that the vibration of each string is fully captured, while the tone controls of the active preamp are easily dialled in to shape custom sound.
A Personalised Bass
The bass and treble control pots don’t just simply boost their respective frequency ranges, but can push them right down or cut them off completely for the moments when the music needs it. The set up as well as the sound of this bass can also be fully personalised, from the string spacing to the string height and the intonation of the highly-stable Sandberg four-saddle bridge. The headstock-mounted string-guide for the highest three strings and the machine head resistance can also be tweaked, while a pre-installed zero-fret guarantees consistent response and note definition along the entire length of the fretboard.
