Blessed with a valve-based preamp and vintage looks that hark back to the blissful ’50s, the Supro Delta King 8 is the ultimate combo for studio and home use. This Blues King Series follow-up and its 1-Watt strong tube-tone can be easily linked up to a DI box or audio interface via the fitted line output, which sits before the master volume circuit so you can increase the preamp gain and tweak the output of the single DK8 speaker at the same time. In short, this wee amp is both smart and good looking.
Sweet Vintage Design
The poplar build of the Delta King 8 bears a striking resemblance to the original range of Chicago-made combos that Supro was building back in the 1950s. This welcome throwback of an amp is available in a classic Tweed/Black finish and a Black/Cream version; this is the Tweed/Black model.
