Like the much-loved OD-808, the Maxon Nine Series OD-9 delivers natural, light overdrive, essentially emulating the sound of a valve amp while retaining every bit of the original guitar sound. The almost-liquid distortion you get as a result is generated by the amplifier-section of the pedal rather than a separate circuit. This unique yet tried-and-true design includes the illustrious JRC4558 IC-chip, which has been copy-catted by quite a few manufactures. The Blackdrive is available in Europe only and only 250 units will ever be made!
