While you nail those scales, you get the full support of a classically shaped alder body with a bolt-on C-profile maple neck for a snug feel in the palm of your fret-hand. Meanwhile, a six-point tremolo bridge with six block saddles ensures stable tuning and accommodates sweet whammy-bar tricks.
The Pacifica 112V: Full & Flexible Amplified Sound
The full foundation sound of this model is laid down by the wood used to build the body and is rounded off by the bright bite of the maple used to build the neck. To amplify the natural tone with full force, Yamaha have mounted a set of HSS-configured Alnico-V pickups. At the bridge, you get the nice and thick output of a humbucker, while in the middle and neck positions, you get the classic spank and shimmer of a single-coil, and using the selector switch, five different base-profiles can be flipped through and tweaked to taste using the volume and tone controls.
