An instant-hit right after its release in May ’09, the Koko Boost was and still is a superb transparent clean boost pedal. Now Suhr present its more compact follow-up: the Koko Boost ReLoaded. Packing at least as much potential as its older sibling, this clean/mid boost pedal features a re-voiced 3-way selector switch and offers an extra 6dB of gain for enhanced harmonic sustain and distortion. As said, it’s smaller too, making it a true revelation for more modest pedalboard rigs.
Re-Voiced Frequency Switch & External Switching Options
The mid-boost frequencies have been optimised and not only sound sweeter, but slice through the mix with increased ease without ever sounding shrill. Just like the OG Koko Boost, the ReLoaded edition serves up three voicings: Mids (left), High Mids (middle) and Low Mids (right). Select ’High Mids’ whenever you’re in need of more mix-slicing power, or toggle ’Low Mids’ for a beefed-up sound for your rhythm parts. Meanwhile, the built-in mf(x) multi-function technology makes sure that switching between the two channels happens seamlessly when the footswitch is held down, and you can even save your mode-based preferences to the internal memory.
