The Meinl SB137 Hybrid 9A is the ideal compromise between a 5A and a 5B stick. The thickness of the 9A is in between, so you get the added power of the 5B while playing subtly just as easily as with a 5A. However, this is iet the most special thing about this stick. This is because the SB137 Hybrid 9A has a hybrid tip. This means it is a cross between a drop and barrel shape. This gives you a sound with a lot of definition but also more body. So on every level, this is the most ideal, versatile stick for any drummer.
