Treated to a handful of modern upgrades, the EVH 5150 Series Standard is based on the famous hockey-stick-headstock-finished, ST-style models that Eddie van Halen played throughout the ’80s. This versatile, redesigned classic features a smooth satin-gloss finish on the back of the Modified C Backshape-profile maple neck, and comes loaded with double the number of pickups its spiritual ancestor packed.

Mounted directly on the lightweight poplar body and based on Alnico II magnets, the two EVH Wolfgang humbuckers shape a range of delicious double-coil sounds balanced by lush trebles. Next to a volume control, a tone pot and a standard-issue 3-way pickup switch, this Standard Series model features an orange killswitch for playful stutter effects, as well as a double-locking Floyd Rose tremolo to support more extreme dive-bomb effects and the D-Tuna system for quick drop-tunings.
